Taneem Kabir is a 2004 alum of Hunter College High School. He was raised in the Bronx and graduated from Brooklyn College of the City of University of New York with a B.S. in Biology. He then attended New York Law School in Tribeca and graduated with a specialization in intellectual property law, earning recognition as a Public Interest Fellow, a Certificate in Public Service, and a Certificate in Patent Law. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Taneem has previously served as a Data Analytics Manager of a program associated with the USPTO, in which he worked with inventors, reviewers, and the general public to facilitate a high quality patent prosecution system. For a number of years he also represented clients in medical malpractice, products liability, and intellectual property matters. He has successfully handled cases involving clients ranging from individuals to large international corporations.

Taneem now manages his own practice at Kabir Law PLLC, where he guides business owners, creators, and companies in enforcing their intellectual property rights, understanding developments in the law, and formulating creative ways to reduce liability. Taneem has over a decade of experience setting up business structures, guiding entrepreneurs in overcoming administrative and legal hurdles, and advising clients on various transactional and litigation matters. He is an active member of the Queens County Bar Association, the Esports Bar Association, and the Trademark Committee of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association.

During his time at Hunter, Taneem was a member of the Track and Field team for four years. He trained at Central Park nearly every day with his teammates, and led them to success during the Indoor, Outdoor, and Cross-Country seasons. He attributes much of his work ethic and outlook on life with his transformative experience on the track team. He lives in NYC and still runs regularly, albeit a lot slower!

Taneem serves on the Executive as the Secretary and on the Development and Technology Committees of the HCHSAA.
