The 2024 Annual Hunter College High School Milestone Reunion brought together alumni from graduating classes ending in ‘4s and ‘9s for a memorable three-day celebration in New York City. It was a weekend filled with reconnections, nostalgia, and the creation of new memories.
The reunion weekend commenced with a Fireside Chat and Welcome Reception Dinner, featuring bestselling author Jean Kwok in conversation with Sewell Chan ’94, Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Tribune. Attendees had the opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni while enjoying the exquisite cuisine at Orsay Restaurant.
Day two continued the festivities on the Hunter campus, where alumni gathered for a morning filled with campus tours, an AA affairs meeting, class speaker presentations, and a delightful lunch in the courtyard. The day culminated in a beloved Hunter tradition—the Joe Kubat Softball Game in Central Park, a family-friendly event that celebrates the school’s legacy of excellence in athletics and sportsmanship.
The weekend concluded with the All-Class Farewell Brunch, where guests indulged in delicious food while attending an enlightening presentation by Thom Chu ’85 on “Lasting Legacies and Their Impact.” It was a fitting end to a weekend filled with laughter, learning, and lasting connections.
Thank you to everyone who joined us! Our celebrations will continue next year, and we’re already planning to make it even more memorable!
