Stefan Savage is among the 2017 recipients of the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship, also referred to as the “genius grant.” Awarded annually by the MacArthur Foundation, the fellowship recognizes an individual’s exceptional achievements and creativity. Savage is a computer scientist who has addressed complex challenges to computer security and cybercrime. He received a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. from the University of Washington.
