Haewan Bae ’02

Haewan Bae is a proud graduate of Hunter College High School, class of 2002. He served as co-coordinator for the class of 2002’s 20-year reunion and has thoroughly enjoyed the process of reconnecting with old classmates and old friends.

After a decade-long career as a lawyer advising financial services firms (Citi, Guggenheim, Lord Abbett), Haewan joined the Great Resignation in 2020 to spend more time with family and consider future career opportunities.

At Hunter, Haewan was a member of the debate team, orchestra, and served as co-president of the Asian Cultural Society. He is thankful for having had the opportunity to interact with incredible and inspiring classmates, teachers and staff. Haewan looks back fondly at all of the memories he made at Hunter, many of which make him smile and most of which make him cringe.

Haewan has an undergraduate degree from Harvard and a law degree from Georgetown. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and two children.
