We are thrilled to announce that the Alumnae/i Association (AA) recently raised $53,592.09 towards suicide prevention and mental health wellness at Hunter College High School. Fundraising efforts were spearheaded by the Class of 1984, who raised a total of $54,533.97, far surpassing their initial Class Gift goal of $40,000.00 to mark their 40th year anniversary. Of this amount, $49,826.24 was allocated for supporting the school’s engagement with the JED Foundation, and $4,707.73 towards the AA’s Annual, Diversity & Inclusion, and Programming funds. The JED Foundation is an award-winning non-profit organization that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for teens and young adults. An additional $3,765.85 was donated by other classes towards the JED program. We are grateful to the Class of 1984 for leading the effort for this important cause, and thank all who generously donated.
